Couples Tournament

The Couples Tournament is a spin-off of our previous Husband/Wives Guys/Gals Tournament. The idea behind this change is to provide all members with an opportunity to play and invite guests as well. There will be two options, a competitive option, and a fun social option. The competitive portion to the tournament is welcome to all players, including guests that have a handicap. We will keep the tradition of the previous tournament’s format.
2023 Couples Tournament Competitive Format
- each player tees off on each hole
- each player then hits teammate’s ball
- team decides which of the two balls to play and then alternate shot until holed out
- teams exchange cards and record gross score per hole
- at the end of the round deduct team handicap from gross score
- in case of ties playoff for first place only
- all team tied for first place will play sudden death at the ninth hole
- if any teams are tied after sudden death there will be a shoot out from the 100 yard marker on the ninth hole by all players
- ties for other positions will be decided by matching score cards
- please putt out no gimmies.
2023 Couples Tournament Social Format- Scramble
- each player tees off on each hole
- players pick the preferred ball out of all shots and play from that spot
- continue this until the ball is holed
