Looking Ahead to an Exciting 2026 Golf Season! |
Introducing & Recognizing Our Club Captains! |
|
Dear Members, As we begin a new year and look ahead to the 2026 golf season, we are pleased to introduce and recognize our Club Captains. Our Men’s Captain, Paul Parsons and Ladies Captain, Carol Trewin will serve as leaders, ambassadors, and advocates for their respective memberships throughout the season. They play an important role in fostering sportsmanship, encouraging participation, and upholding the values that define our club. We are grateful for their commitment and look forward to their leadership in the year ahead. You will hear more from your Captains soon as they introduce themselves in more detail, along with the supporting Vice-Captains and Ladies Executive. With the season approaching, we are excited for what lies ahead—great competition, memorable moments, and the continued strengthening of our club culture. We would also like to share several key areas of focus for 2026 that are intended to enhance the overall member experience and preserve what makes our club special. Integrity At the core of our game is fairness and trust. This season, the club will place renewed emphasis on competition oversight to ensure an equitable playing field for all members. Our Handicap Committee will continue its role in reviewing and maintaining accountability within the handicap system, including specific attention to Men’s & Ladies League handicaps, Matchplay, Club Championship, and The Derby. Additionally, we will be introducing league specific handicaps this year. We are currently reviewing other initiatives to further enhance integrity of our competitive events. These efforts are designed to protect the integrity of competition while allowing every member to compete with confidence. Respect Respect for one another and for our club is essential to an enjoyable golf experience. This includes respect for fellow members, for the course and club property, and for the traditions and etiquette that define the game. By being mindful of pace of play, course conditions, and long-standing customs, we all contribute to a welcoming environment that reflects the pride we share in our club. Community Our club is more than a place to play golf—it is a community. In 2026, we encourage increased engagement and participation across a wide variety of events. From competitive tournaments to social and inclusive gatherings, our goal is to offer variety and create opportunities for members to connect, compete, and enjoy the club together. Our directory of events is available from the link below and registration for events is already open to allow you to get a head start on planning your golf season. We are truly excited for the season ahead and thankful for the role each member plays in shaping the culture of our club. Thank you for your continued commitment, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. Here’s to a fantastic 2026 golf season filled with great golf and even better memories. Warm regards, Kurt Paisley – General Manager/Director of Golf |
