We are kicking the Opening Scramble event up a notch this year in celebration of our 65th Anniversary! On course stations with an elevated cocktail hour and dinner that will top anything we have done in recent years.

Golf including carts, on course stations, cocktails, champagne toast, elevated dinner, prizes, and more! Limited spots available.

This golf event is designed to include everyone at the club without any pressure. This is a fun event that will allow each of you to meet new people and enjoy a fun format of team golf. It is designed to be quick and fun for all involved at any level.

Entry Fee

Full members $80++

Additional $40 per round for those without the weekend package.

We have sponsorship opportunities available. Any sponsorship will go towards enhancing the event. All sponsor support will go right back into the event. Sponsors receive guest passes and drink tickets, in addition to recognition at the event.

Team Selection & Handicapping

Players can register as a single, pair, threesome, or foursome. We will pair those who don’t register as a full team randomly though the golf genius software. We will take the combined handicap of all four players and use 20% to calculate their team handicap. We will not round these numbers to help in an event of a tie. Total score less your team handicap will determine the winner.

Format

Each player will tee off on every hole. The team will select the tee shot they want and whoever hit that shot will step-aside and not hit the following shot. The three other players will hit the second shot and choose the best one. The person who hits the second shot will not hit the third shot but the person who hit the drive will hit the third shot. This will continue until the ball is holed. There will always be three people hitting a shot.

Handicaps

• All Registrants must have a current Golf Canada Handicap Index in order to participate in this event.
• If you do not have a Handicap, you can establish one by posting 54 holes in advance of the event.
• Anyone signing up to play will have their postings reviewed.
• If it is determined that your Handicap Index is not current, due to lack of scores being posted, you will not be allowed to play in the event.
